Kristen is cynical in her comparative old age

I've reached a mental state where I'm so cynical it's amusing. And that's pretty damn funny.

See, out of sheer boredom and good intentions I went to the writers forum on Gaia. I decided to pitch in and help the creative community by reading and critiquing. I think I've gone through somewhere between 12-16 stories. A lot of them were written by fourteen year old punks who demand responses to their work, but can't handle them. And some of the stories... my god! Angsty Vampires, Angsty Vampires, Angsty Teens... *eye balls explode* Most of which haven't been through spell check.

On the other hand there was one really good one, (although the entire thing was in present text?) and a good short one about two paragraphs long.

So why do I keep helping, you ask? Well, because it's the right thing to do. Some of the other critiquers will just point, laugh and ridicule. I at least try to point out errors and offer suggestions. Plus on some inner level I might be hoping for some good karma to come along. Meh. I should go see if they responded. And away I go!
